This is a Regency/Georgian period romance that introduces Lady Amelia and Lord Barrington to the reader. This couple has known each other for all of their lives and the relationship has been one of young protector and recalcitrant child. Now, it is time for Amelia to be presented into society and Lord Barrington wants her to have her time, but he wants to be the one who takes home the prize that is she. How long does he have to wait and how much will he have to watch her before she comes to the realization that he is the right man for her. Will her adventurous nature allow him to tame her enough to take on the title of Lady Barrington? Will she learn that submitting to him is where true freedom lies?
What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?
I love writing the sparking banter between Lady Amelia and Lord Barrington. I want an opinionated, strong willed woman and a determined, possessive alpha man in my stories. Neither are afraid to make their desires known but ultimately she finds her hero is everything she needs.
Are you working on a new book right now? Can you tell us a little about it?
I have several works in process right now and have quite a few characters trying to push to the front of the line. I have book 2 in the Chase Abbey series coming up end of August, a Cowboy book that I love because I am from East Texas and Cowboy country is tentively coming out in August as well. Finally, a series that is a Ranching/Cowboy book set in Montana/Wyoming that is further down the road.
What has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author?
I have not had any criticism from readers yet, but from those who know the question always comes up as to why I write spanking romances vs non spanking romances. I say it is because I love a good spanking romance and it took me a long time to find them so I want to write them.
And, what has been the best compliment?
One of my stories one person said after reading it left them satisfied but wanting to know what next? I love a story that makes me smile but longing for more. My goal is to give satisfaction to my reader but leaving them wishing for more and more.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Balance is always a challenge. I want to write for days but I do have other obligations so I need to cook for my family and such so getting a routine I can be satisfied with is difficult.
Do you spend a lot of time doing research?
I do research because I enjoy researching subjects that I am writing on. I use the computer, my experiences and subject experts to help inform my writing and it also serves to get me even more excited about my characters.
So, what book are you reading now?
Traditional Love by Alta Hensley and I am now on to the rest of the series. I love series.
