Our Readers Interviewed Tom, Cassie and Sue: PK Corey

Meet PK Corey:

I’m definitely a product of the south and that’s where my stories are based. With retirement just around the corner, I’m looking forward to spending more on my writing. I’m happily married and now that we have two grown children we’re learning to love the empty nest. I didn’t grow up with the desire to be a writer, but I did love to daydream.  As a child, I spent most of my spare time, and quite a bit of time when I should have been doing schoolwork, either reading or making up stories. I was actual quite young when Cassie wandered into my head and began telling me her story. I’ve always been drawn to spanking stories, but I need a true love story with it. That’s how I see Cassie and Tom – a true love story with spanking thrown in.

I’ve written other short stories and someday I’ll branch out more, but for now Cassie is the one whispering in my ear and it’s her stories I enjoy telling.

Meet Tom and Cassie:

Author PK COREY: As a new Cassie book just came out, I asked my readers if they had any questions for Cassie, Tom or any of their friends. There were several questions for Cassie and, not surprisingly, many questions for Tom. Cassie always loves answering questions and she can talk Tom into nearly anything. Here is an interview with them both.

Readers:  Cassie, you have made a lot of changes in your life because you love Tom.  What is one thing about which you will always remain rebellious?  Tell us about something on your bucket list that you have yet to do or see.

Cassie: I do love that man, but when I want to do something – be it taking a trip, carrying a gun, or taking the boat on a long run, I think at my age I should be able to do so without anyone’s permission. I’ll probably always fight this. Bucket list? There are many more trips and adventures I’d love to have but what I dream of the most is the chance to be a grandmother someday.

Readers: Tom, when did you know you first loved Cassie?  Tell about a small mannerism or habit you love about her.

Tom: I loved her almost from the first moment I saw her. She was dancing and truly from that moment on, no other woman has ever interested me. The mannerism I love the most is how she smiles – she smiles with her whole being, her face just lights up and joy seems to pour from her.

Readers: Tom, have you ever considered that Cassie would get into less trouble if you weren't so controlling? A gilded cage is still a prison.

Tom: You have to remember that you are only reading Cassie’s version of events. I don’t feel that I’m overly controlling. There are few things in this world Cassie can’t do. And very few things she wants that she doesn’t have. I do want her safe and to always be honest with me. As long as she stays within those guidelines, she is free to do as she pleases.

Readers: Tom, you always seem so strong and sure about your course of action, which I appreciate, but do you ever regret or doubt Cassie's response after you take her to task? Do you ever have a moment when you think maybe she won't appreciate your loving care?

Tom: I suppose she rarely appreciates it at the time, but forty years of marriage tells me this is the way to handle things. Once Cassie gets past her occasional temper, she usually sees that consistent discipline benefits our marriage.

Readers: Tom, what about your background? Did you have a wild phase? What were your parents like?

Tom: I’m not sure I was ever wild, I did enjoy college and I’m sure I drank more that I should have at a party or two. But I was never really wild.

My parents were wonderful people – I was reared in a loving and supportive home. My parents practiced domestic discipline, though I didn’t know this until I was in my late teens. I never knew a happier couple than my parents.

Readers:  Cassie, what were your, Sue and Annie's first impressions of each other? Were you instant friends or did you initially find one another irritating?

Cassie: I admired Sue the second I saw her. She seems so brave and bold – traits I highly admired in a woman. I did not have either of these traits when I first met her. She helped me develop them and I will be forever grateful to her. We met Annie about a year later. She was kinder and more gentle than either Sue or I and we both loved her instantly.

Readers: I know a lot of people don't like you, Tom. I do but do wonder why you are so controlling with Cassie?

Tom: I just don’t think that I’m controlling. I put my foot down about her going to the paintball park – built for those in their teens and twenties, with cliffs and gullies and rough terrain, and she still manage to be injured playing here with Allie. It’s my job to keep her safe.

Readers:  Tom, what attracted you to Cassie in the first place?

Tom: Everything about her – She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. I love the way she danced, her beautiful voice, her general demeanor. After finding out a bit of her background I knew she needed some one to make her feel safe so that she could reach her full potential.

Readers:  Sue, you and Cassie go back a long way. How did you meet and did you like her when you first met?

Sue: The ass Cassie married the first time had dealing with Steve’s firm. We met at one of the parties they held. You could tell she was terrible intimidated by her husband. But I still felt drawn to her. We got to talk at a luncheon held just for the women and we clicked. I hated her husband!

Readers: Tom, as a Taken-in-hand who has a vehement hatred for the vicious hairbrush, I have one question: WHY THE BRUSH?? Isn't the hand sufficient, Tom? Hmmm? ;)

Tom: I feel you just answered your own question. Cassie too has a vehement hatred for the hairbrush. It is my hope that she will try to avoid it at all cost. While the hand can be used for discipline, I prefer it for fun or erotic spankings.

Readers: Cassie, does Tom have a sense of humor?

Cassie: Tom has such a wonderful sense of humor – but it’s so very dry. You have to be around him, there is just no way I can really write about it so that anyone could understand. Truly, he keep me laughing all the time.

Readers: Tom, we would like to know about your girlfriends before Cassie, did you treat them the same and have the same rules.

Tom: I dated casually in college. Mostly we went out in groups. Cassie was the first woman I cared about and I cared about her from the first night I saw her. But learning some about her history and seeing for myself that she was in bad shape and desperately needed some one to protect her and love her. To keep her safe, I did make some rules, but not that many really.

Readers: Cassie, what work does Tom do now that he is retired? He says he gets called back on assignments, what are they?

I’m taking this question because Tom would get way too technical. Basically Tom is an engineer/inventor. People come to the firm with a ‘problem’ and Tom, sometime with Steve or Andy, finds solutions. Often it evolves creating something or devising some method to arrive at a solution.

Readers: Cassie, why don't you stand your ground with Tom more than you do? You are always feisty and determined so you should not bend to his strict rules so much and give in to his spankings without a fight.

Cassie: I do, I do, really I do. I fuss with Tom and his silly rules all the time – sometimes I even win! When I give in to serious spanking it’s usually because I am feeling terribly guilty about what I’ve done. Now that doesn’t happen too often. I guess the true answer to your question is – I know how much Tom loves me, and I know that he does what he does to keep me safe and our relationship strong. I would never recommend this for everyone – but for Tom and me, it works.

If you enjoyed Cassie you can read more. Currently there are eight ‘Cassie’ books with plans for more to come. Although each book stands alone you might enjoy going back to the beginning and find out how everything began. Here are blurbs from each of the 8 books.

Cassie’s Space (book one)

Cassies Space largeMeet Cassie, a former wild child, who meets her match, and creates the match of a lifetime. Cassie has survived emotionally distant parents and an abusive marriage. Widowed young, with plenty of money, she turns her energies to partying twenty-four/seven, until Tom spots her at a party. To nearly all who know her now, Cassie is a vivacious, sweet southern lady, who is the epitome of grace and proper behavior. Look a tiny bit closer and you’ll see Cassie has another side – the one whose language could make a sailor blush as she drinks him under the table. Thanks to her loving husband Tom, who never hesitates to put Cassie over his knee when she strays too far from his view of ladylike behavior, few people other than close old friends know this side of Cassie exists.

Cassie shares many stories of their early marriage, as she tried to adjust to Tom’s belief in the power of the hairbrush. Although Cassie agrees in theory that Tom is the head of their home, she spends much of her time doing exactly what she wants and hoping Tom won’t catch on. Over thirty years later, she still does what she wants and Tom still catches on.

Cassie still doesn’t always act like the perfect lady and doesn’t always manage to follow Tom’s rules. She sneaks off with friends to visit an ‘adult’ toy store and she has begun talking to ‘strangers’ online and blogging about the private life she and Tom share, knowing full well if Tom ever does find out she’ll be sitting sensitively for days to come.

Cassie wouldn’t change her life for anything. As she says, “There are two things I want everyone to take away from our stories. First there is nothing wrong with an old fashioned marriage where the husband guides and protects the wife. There is nothing wrong with him being in charge. There is nothing wrong with him giving the occasional spanking to make sure his wife is fully aware of who is in charge. And, there is certainly nothing wrong with the wife trying to get away with as much as possible.

Second, and most important, I hope our stories convey that love and passion are not the sole property of the young. Love and passion grows and changes with age. While aging may bring on challenges – the love and passion between two people only grows stronger.
