Amelia by Stevie MacFarlane

Fresh out of Mrs. Pettigrew's School for Young Ladies, Amelia Westcott and her two best friends are ready for adventure. Suddenly a life filled with social obligations and meaningless gossip seems unappealing. On a whim, the girls investigate the phenomena of young women heading west to marry, and Amelia is captivated by the freedom such a decision offers.

Hugh Jordon needs a wife. The severe shortage of women in the Pacific Northwest makes advertising for a bride seems reasonable. As long as he finds a wife who is the exact opposite of his tempestuous mother, he'll be well satisfied. Studying the applicants, he chooses one that seems to best fit his needs, and delegates his head clerk with the critical task of sending polite rejections to the others. Unfortunately, most of them never get the letter Hugh anticipated and soon the brides descend, all expecting to marry the same man!

Amelia is horrified, and realizes that the adage "marry in haste, repent at leisure" has never been more true. How could he do that to her? What sort of man was he, to propose to so many women? She simply must have their wedding annulled and return to Massachusetts at once.

Hugh has other ideas. In his opinion, the perfect place for his bride to learn about faith, loyalty and commitment is in his home and over his knee!

Nanette's Capture by Cerise Noble

When their home is in danger of attack, Nanette's parents entrust her with a mission: to escape with her younger sister, to see her safely through the wilderness to Caledonia, a pocket of civilization in the post-apocalyptic world where technology and democracy no longer exist. Nanette does her best, but after several months, the sisters are hungry, dirty, and their meager supplies are running thin. She lowers her guard just once, when she manages to net a few small fish. As a result, both girls are captured.

Nanette fights to protect her sister, although her actions are useless against the wall of strong men, both armed and dangerous. One man admires her spirit. He asks his leader if he can keep her as his slave.

Thinking fast, Nanette announces that her fourteen-year-old sister Suzanna is only twelve. Suzanna finds herself adopted into a new family, where she is welcomed and protected. Nanette, however, learns that anything other than immediate and absolute obedience is dealt with swiftly and severely. At first, she tries to make the best of a bad situation, but soon Nanette comes to crave his touch, to find comfort in his discipline. But will she ever be anything more to him that just his slave?

Wagon Master by April Hill

Twenty-seven year old Boston "spinster" Roxanne Hayward helps herself to her adoring father's cashbox and heads to San Francisco, in search of fame and fortune in the theatre.

Her hopes are dashed when she's robbed on the banks of the wide Missouri, half a country away from her destination. With no other option, she reluctantly joins a wagon train headed west, led by rugged trail guide Seth Booker. She will be, it seems, a cook and laundress.

Not surprisingly, the stern wagonmaster and spoiled heiress don't hit it off, and things only get worse for "Annie"--as Booker insists on calling her--as the train moves relentlessly west, over mountains, across washed out roads, and perilous river crossings.

It's a dangerous and miserable trip, and Annie's frequent battles with her new employer often end up with her across his knee.

It's My Ranch by Misty Malone

Jake Hamilton thought he had his hands full when he inherited his grandfather's ranch at a young age. But he was shocked two years later when he was told he was to inherit his neighbor's ranch, as well, with one proviso. He was to watch after his neighbor's 19-year-old daughter, keeping her safe and providing a place for her to live until she married.

Jake didn't know Loretta that well, but her lack of safety bothered him immensely. The first time he met her she was on his land, doing something so dangerous he instinctively pulled her off her horse and across his knee for a spanking. Neither of them were happy to hear the conditions of her father's will, but out of respect for him, Jake was determined to do as her father wished.

She fought him every step of the way, until after ignoring his safety rule yet again she finds herself in serious trouble. Now she has to hope he cares enough to go looking for her and can find her in time.
